Are you garbage???

Posted in Work junk on July 8, 2008 by txknight

You may be just that, do you score 50 to 99 on the asvab?? Do you have a High School diploma from a Tier 1 school???  If not, you may be garbage to the recruiter, thats right, you are garbage, you are an “Other”, you are not “Quaility”. Dont think so?? well, the GED holder has to get a 50 or above to get in, while the HSDG ( High School Diploma Graduate) can get a 31, bottom score to even join the army, and he gets in. A constant phrase is dont talk to garbage, trash in, trash out, talk to quaility.

A 31 to 49 and a HSDG is an “Other” or a “Bravo” again not quaility, but again beside the point, you are only a number to the recuiter, they dont really care about you, they want you to join and ship off, thats it. Once you get to basic, if you quit, it isnt the recruiters fault, he/she/it doesnt “lose” the number, the number being you, see when each FS ( Future Soldier, you used to be called DEP Delayed Entry Program, but it didnt make you “feel” like you were a “soldier”, so they changed the name, all marketing) quits before shipping off, the recruiter has to recruite someone to replace you, so they have to work even harder than before.

So, if your a HSDG and you score 31 to 49, your an other, garbage, your not quaility, a recruiter can put in people all month long, and if they dont get a quaility, they have still failed to make mission, some world huh???

Problems with todays youth?

Posted in Work junk on June 21, 2008 by txknight

A major reason today’s youth can’t join is culture based, face it, today’s kids are fat, lazy and stupid, travel the world for awhile, I have for 12 years, most of the “stereotypes” about Americans, are true.

You need a 31 or higher on the asvab to even join the Army, kids right out of High School, graduates mind you, can barely pass the test, the average score around my area is 30

Kids today, for all the high tech stuff out there, don’t have a good basic education and are not physically fit. They say we are “lowering” our standards to let people in, that isn’t true. Its society that is lowering the standards of acceptable behaviour

Of kids 17 to 24 only about 28% are even eligible to join, the others have too many law issues, overweight or cannot attain a passing score

When is “no” no?

Posted in Work junk on June 21, 2008 by txknight

No is not an answer, that just means find some other way to talk to you, it isn’t fully the recruiters fault, the insane amount of stress placed on them to perform is intolerable, and people crack and do push to hard when they should take “no thank you” as a reason and move on, but the command doesn’t take “no” as a legitimate answer

Bad practice

If you are in a public place, move on with your shopping, browsing whatever, if the recruiter still tries to talk to you, tell management you are being harrassed by the recruiter, and ask him what the stores solicitation policy is? If there were the “No Solicitation” signs on the door, ask the manager to have him/her/it removed from the store

Thoughts for today

want to get the recruiter away from you, simple, tell them you are not interested in military service, you are wasting your time talking to me, and then ask them to not speak to you anymore. yelling screaming cursing, talking about the iraq war is for oil crap, will only give them reason to try to “overcome the objection”, which means they attempt to explain away your reason for not wanting to join, and then push you for a appoinment

Hello all

I have started this blog as a way to try to keep my sanity, I am forced to be a recruiter and hate it, like many many others.

Recruiters are not your friends, they talk to you to get you into the army, no other reason, your a number, plain and simple
